I really had no intention to run this contest so I was on and off on Saturday.
My tower had to be turned manually with an iron bar and I had my voice keyer in
box after the last contest in the fall. But somehow it all turned me on and I
hooked the voice keyer to my IC-746pro on Sunday morning and spent most of
Sunday there. And it was great fun once again, although I really could not
enjoy much pile ups with 100 watts. So I did mostly s&p but doing so I really
lost many of the ja and us prefixes, who did s&p as well. The band closed with
South American conditions, which means it does not open later in the evening to
US anymore. And that also happened, although it opened to Alaska just at
midnight and I manaded to get 4 prefixed from there. I have avoid WPX contests
for a long time. My last one must have been in late 70's. I really enjoyed this
