FT1000MP, 100W, TH6DXX, dipole, zepp, inverted vee. Many thanks to Dan Street,
K1TO, who stopped here on his way home from Dayton and fixed my TH6DXX. I had
really missed it since early January. No doubt my score was much better than
otherwise would have been possible using the zepp on 20M. Activity was good.
Conditions were good. Stations spread out better than previously. Welcome to
all newcomers. Sorry Kid, but I favor doing away with the rule allowing dupe
contacts on the same band AFTER the conclusion of the current ladder series. I
don't think it is a good idea to change the rules in the middle. On the other
hand, I can see a possibility that some of the newcomers might not want to wait
for the rule to change. Please let the committee know your feelings about
whether or not to change the rule and the timing of any such change. Enjoyed
meeting many of you in Dayton and was glad to be home and QRV on Thursday night
after several weeks away on travel to different places.
BTW, Dan, K1TO, is now in the tower/antenna erection/repair business and I can
testify that he does a great job! 73, John, K4BAI.
