Comments:

Another fun one for sure. Conditions were a pleasant surprise. I achieved my
second highest score ever
in this contest, missing my personal best by only 2% and the gross score record
by about 7%. I was actually
expecting to do a little better actually at the half way point than I ended
up.

Unlike the high power crowd, I found the "runability" harder as the world
desended on 20M. I was able to
run on 20 but not all the time. I found that I was S & Ping 20 too often.

10M - Missed the EU opening but worked a couple of PYs and a dozen W3s and
W4s.
15M - Worked around 50 EU stations. Could never really run.
20M - Great into all of Europe and especially Russia. Also, very strong JA
openins both mornings and a small
JA run on Sunday morning. JAs were loud but not plentiful. A number of UA0s
worked. The openings at 0800Z
were good but not providing enough to crack with low power from here.
40M - Very fun. Always runnable when open. Lots of EU.
80M - I only went to 80M at 0330Z on Saturday night. I had a great run of EU
and NA and worked the entire 90+
Qs in about 90 mins with a 50/50 mix of EU and NA.
160M - 2 quick Qs on my one pass after 80.

I always have the same impression of this contest after 5 years now doing it:
its fun, its way different than
its SSB counterpart, and I continue to learn how to be GOOD at WPX as its a
different breed than many of the
other DX contests. The CW version has lower USA participation than the SSB
contest and I personally did not
notice a difference in that aspect this non-holiday weekend.

Thanks for all the Qs. See you in IARU.
