Comments:

I parked in a picnic area in the Kaibab National Forest west of Flagstaff AZ
along old US-66, and worked for a few hours in the 1B-1 Op-Battery class. 
First time I've tried 6m, and made a few SSB QSOs including one with K1TOL in
Maine - at 5W into a portable vertical antenna!  I made one QSO on each of the
3 FM satellites (AO-27, AO-51, SO-50), and had a good time escaping the Phoenix
heat.  Fun!
