Comments:
My score was much better than last year as last year I only made 28 QSOs and the
band died in 1 hour. So in spite of still no sunspots, conditions appear to be
improving (gradually). I probably should have woken up a bit earlier as by the
time I got in the contest (about 9AM locally - 1500Z), there were plenty of
Scandinavian stations to be heard.
And just when I thought I was done, I switched on my newly acquired Timewave
DSP-599zx audio DSP processor and found another dozen stations. It is an
amazing device and I'm going to use it a lot more often as it seems to pull
signals out of the noise or separate them in crowded conditions.
