Conditions seemed poor on the low bands, with low signal levels and QRN, but
forty meters was the gift that kept on giving.

Took only a half-hour break during the first 27 hours of the contest but then
slept several hours on Saturday night, as there was little fun to be had with
all the QRN here. Had 1,600 QSOs after 24 hours, many of which came during a
prolonged daylight (on their side) run on 40 meters Saturday morning. Worked
many stations in EU at 11:00 AM their time.

Highlights were getting through to exotic Asia and Pacific DX on 40 at my
sunrise, and getting called by JA's and several VK's long path on 40 meters on
Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Also getting through quickly to EY8MM on 160
meters.

It was too noisy for me to CQ on 80 and 160 on Friday and Saturday night, but
had a fabulous run on 80 CW in the last 90 minutes of the contest.

73,

Peter K3ZM
