Wonderful contest. The best contets from zx5j land for me.
My 12 years old dream becomes true.
Starts when my daughter born in 1996. At that time i started thinking about to
make a contest with my family. Why not? Like a multi single, with the family.
And now, we made it. The arrl 10 m multi single family effort.
In June and July of this year, my son made the apliccation for ham radio , he
was 10 years old - Eduardo PU5FJR, also my daughter, 12 years old, - Beatriz
PU5BIA, and my wife Fernanda PU5FDA.
They made the first effort in contesting, during a brazilian contest in
september, with a very nice results. Beatriz secound on 10 meters, and Eduardo
secound on 80 meters.
Now we made the first international contest.
Our time, PU5FJR, PU5BIA, and PU5FDA on phone, and PP5NW,and PP5WG on cw.
PP5JR just coordenating, i think i will loose my operator position!!!
As you know, this contest in multi single category needs both modes, and we
invited PP5NW, and PP5WG, our close friends, to help us with cw qsoâ??s. The
new hams are going to start learning cw in the next year.
Our strategy was to put as much as possible the new hams working... . new
voices from zx5j!!!!
As a result, we made more qsoâ??s on phone, because our strategy was to have
them working as much as possible.
I made only 3 qsoâ??s., i became the coffee man of the group, but for me, it
was the most important contets that i have done. My dream becames true.
On phone PU5FJR Eduardo, made around 240 qsoâ??s and 45 countries, PU5BIA
Beatriz made around 180 qsoâ??s and 33 countries, and my wife Fernanda PU5FDA
( 8th pregnancy month) made around 270 qsoâ??s and 37 countries.
Thank you very much to Walter pp5wg, and Rodrigo pp5nw for your help on cw, and
to be with us in this wonderful weekend.
Thank you to all that work us, and letâ??s see what is going to happen in the
future with this new great time.
