Comments:
99% S&P this contest. CW is not my strong point I can admit that, but I am
working on improving it. Still very leery of the pileups. Tried calling CQ a
couple of times and all went well untill someone spotted me. After that there
seemed like a dozen stations all zero-beat and my brain went into overload.
Copied partials the best I could but some ops refused to stop sending even when
you are trying to go back to another. If I copy K2P and your call is W8 why keep
calling. Then the deliberate QRM started which made operation impossible. I
qsy'ed up the band but he found me and continued the jamming. Forced to go back
to S&P.
Conditions were not too bad. Heard a few EU big guns but could not break the
east coast wall. Not a sniff of Asia. Still a fun outing and looking forward to
the SSB event in a few weeks. I expect conditions will be tougher overall!
