Comments:

The Gato Negro contest team lead by EA8NC organized a field day for the ARRL
contest. The location was on a mountain side 1050m over the Atlantic with a
free view towards USA. On Thursday and Friday the antennas were installed.

Radio 1: IC756+TL922
Radio 2: IC756+SB200
Antennas:
160m: vertical, linear loading
80m: vertical, linear loading
40m: 2el yagi
20m: Spider beam
15m: 4el yagi
10m: Spider beam
All antennas except the Spider beam were designed and built by EA8NC.

A heavy storm on Saturday morning with rain and winds up to 138km/h and forced
us to collapse the telescopic masts to a few meters above ground. Power outages
forced us to QRT a few times during the first night.

The support team EA8CMH and EA8CCD provided excellent service.

It was a real pleasure to visit Tenerife and to enjoy the company of the Gato
Negro Team.

Thank you guys!
Anders SM6CNN
