Comments:
This is my first season on 160 meters and my first efforts at contesting on 160
meters. Maybe it is the novelty of first attempts, but working Top Band
contests has been great fun. With only a minimal antenna (Iverted L), any
station worked outside of the USA/Canada amazes me.
Since this was my first CQ 160 SSB test, I didn't operate the full time -- just
11 hours. Because of other commitments, I missed most of the Europe /Africa
openings but was pleasantly surprised by LU2DTK early Sunday morning.
Of the states/provinces I neither worked nor heard LB, NB, NF, NU, PEI, NWT, or
YT.
All in all it was great fun and no doubt I'll be back next year.
