Soapbox :

Probably my best CW effort ever and scads of fun! I knew I couldnt do this
test full time, so the pressure was off. Worked the test on and off doing
stuff with the family and taking a pool break on Saturday afternoon.

Spent lots of time on 10 and 15 meters Friday, and it paid off with great
results. Didnt try 20 until the second day.

My practice sessions with Morse Runner paid off too, as I was very comfortable
around 29-32wpm, almost to my speeds back in the 80's when I was much younger.

The other thing that paid off was the K3, whose magic receiver was unflappable,
especially in the narrow cracks I could find on 20 for running. At times, it
felt like I had the only signal on the band with this receiver.

Worked many friends, including NX4X and W4CU and had several QSO's with the
gang at NQ4I, who had a spectacular signal on 10 meters!

A thrill was mixing it up with NQ4I's mult station on 40 and beating them to
several QSO's when we called a mult at the same time! Call timing pays off (so
does Gaspar's Pirates' WPX-Friendly club callsign!)

Very happy with the performance of my station. It just keeps getting better.
My CW skills continue to improve, especially in pileup management. Wish others
would pay attention when I specify a copied call. I cant figure out why, when
you have multiple callers in a pile and ask for the station ending in VK, why
does LG and ZWA call too???
