Comments:

We were looking to this year with anticipation - The TV TX is OFF 6m looked
promising. The 2m antenna farm was in decent shape - not best ever but
respectable 402 elements (6x22+4x19+4x14+4x10+6x8+2x19-in 50m above
ground+1x13). But once more the gods of propagation were not nice to us and we
are EXTREMELY successful in progressing in our WORST ever score trend - will it
stop next year ? It looks like we will finish next year with 50 QSOs only.
We gave up Meteors this year on both bands.

There was practically no contest operation on 2m outside of Czech activity
contest which was this year also worst ever in JULY - only 179 QSOs but still
gave us 65% QSOs. In Sunday 1300Z after calling CQ 90 minutes without any
success we gave up and closed 2m down. There was this year some competition,
UR7D was trying hard and also some OKs after our years of success gave it a try
too. We were monitoring OK1KFB and in the last 1 hour they made 2 QSOs - we had
both stations in the log - really no activity on the band and flat
propagation.

6m started nice with ES to LY, YL for a few minutes but lousy in sunday, in the
afternoon it looked like we will finish with only about 60 QSOs but finally some
very short openings came and a few stations were in the LOG but for instance not
a SINGLE G,F,PA,ON,OZ,SM,LA....

To sum it up - I doubt it will be enough this year for the top spot.....

Thanks for a QSOs and see you next time,
73 !
Jiri OK1RI
