FT-817 @5 wts to vertical (20/15M) and dipole (40M); Vibroplex bug; Did well on
20/15M - lots of fun; 40M was a surprise because I usually do very well on that
band. However, 40M was a slow grind. I suppose that noise levels on 40M were
high enough to mask my signal at a lot of QTHs. Also tried 80M, but noone
responded. Was very pleased with the FT-817 (w. 500Hz CW filter) - I had no
problems hearing signals. Special thanks to all of the operators who took the
time to dig out my signal!
