Comments:
This was a fun weekend at DR1A. I arrived at the station Friday late afternoon
and got everything going by 22z. This allowed for a short nap before the
contest. I never felt fatigue, but was unsure about where to place the 12 hours
off-time. Propagation sucked on Saturday late morning, so I took an off-time
there and parked myself on the sandy shore of our DR1A lake next door. I slept
an hour in the sun, but was waked up by some insects attacking me (still feel
those itches now...) The other off-times were in the second night and the
second morning (I operated some 45 minutes in the Sunday 08z hour to work a few
Asia multipliers on 10/15m missed on Saturday...). The rest of the day was
OPERATING fun, but I had a hard time in the 17z and 18z hour, when we had heavy
rain falls here with S7-8 rain static on 15 and 20m.
The WAE website (http://www.waedc.de) knows about the following all-time
records:
Single-OP EU: YL8M(LY2TA) = 1.966.965 (year 2002)
Single OP DX: D4B = 2.999.082 (year 2004)
Multi-OP EU : UK2BAS = 2.886.296 (year 1982!!!)
Multi-OP DX : 4L0A = 3.348.030 (year 200)
I feel that most of these records will be broken in 2010 - even though
propagation was not too good! I never felt that the sunspots have arrived for
good. It was mostly a struggle all over the place...

something from 4U1ITU in the weekend, but not sure...)
