My very first real HF contest is behind ...
What can I say???
It was very interesting to be 24 hours behind radio and at the begining it was
hard to put all things together ...
I had to customize with N1MM and all F keys, to get all right what to return
after QSO ... how to stop CQ sequence ... and all that stuff ... But just when
I got all right contest was over ... HI!
Score is over expected ... First predictions were that 400 +- 20 QSO would be
great but 541 QSO is much better ... But there is a lot of room to be better
next year ... This year I was working low power and 95% of time it was 50-60W
and just for some very hard QSOs I was using 100W ...
I am HAM since 12/2008 and 95% of my QSOs are phone and only 5% are RTTY and
what I did in contest is about 70% of ALL mine QSOs done since licence ...
I am very happy that I have done that contest and now to be ready for next
challange ...
Thanks to my mentor S550 - Ian and to all members of my club S53APR for very
good working conditions ...
