Alas, Murphy visited in hour 3. Had a few blinks of the lights in the shack for
just milliseconds. Didn't bother me until after countless CQing on 40 with no
answers, I looked at the Acom's remote indicator. Amp shut off due to power
blips. Was operating at 30 watts. No wonder no answers. Put amp back on line
(takes 2 minutes). Had 2 or 3 more power blips that caused resetting of amp.
Apologies to N5KO and a few others when I resorted to using my paddle and it
stuck on the dots. Finally completed the Qs. Great fun in spite of problems.
Far off from the 300 goal, but pleased with the mults. Alaska was the only mult
heard and not worked. Seems like a long wait til the next one. Couldn't we
sandwich another one in December during the holiday break? 73 de Art.
