Elecraft K3, single wire in a tree, NA software.
This was, again this year, a one band, one mode event for me. I probably put in
about five hours, in a whole lot of 5- and 10-minute checks of the band. I tried
a little SSB and there were some very loud Texas stations, but only a few.
Mostly I listened to Texas mobiles down in the noise being called by pile-ups
of Europeans, who were S9-plus here. I listened to F5IN and LZ3R "running"
Texas stations that I couldn't hear. Go figure.
Mobiles: Worked N5RZ and NO5W four times each, K5NA twice.
