Comments:
Thanks to Mark, K6UFO, for organizing the effort and setting up the station for
the contest. We had two stations with amplifiers and a third station set up
running barefoot. The first 7 hours of the contest we had operators on all 3
stations but after that we only had 1 or 2 operators at a time. We took a
break from midnight local time until about 3:30 AM.
Some club members were also operating in the ARRL EME contest and we had agreed
to limit interference to their efforts. Shortly after the start we discovered
that 15 meters was getting into one of the 2-meter EME pre-amps. We were off
15 meters for several hours while it was open on both Saturday and Sunday,
avoiding interference to the EME effort. Our higher 20 meter numbers reflect
the fact that we spent most of our time there since we couldn't be on 15.
We were pleased to have John, K2YY, operate for much of the contest to fill in
at one of the operating positions. John is visiting on a temporary assignment
in the local area and staying in Palo Alto not far from the W6YX station.
Congratulations to the other Multi-Multi efforts, particularly N6O and K6IDX
for their fine scores. Thanks to everyone for the Q's.
73,
-Mike, N7MH
