Comments:
I applaud the Contest Committee"s recent decision to change the direction of
future events. This is the first time that I used packet in the single operator
class. It was fun. Sure was humbling to react to a spot for a new multiplier
only to find all of the big guys from the east coast already calling. Not a
chance for me, I came back later.
Conditions on 15 were very good the entire weekend. Sunday was a little better.
The band closed early, about a half hour after sunset but was open at sunrise.
We need a few more years of sunspots to get the great 2-3 hour opening after
sunset.
Never heard zone 23 or saw them spotted even though there was a JT1 placing
spots on the cluster. Never spotted me, of course.
Thanks for all of the Q's and thanks to all of the European stations who
cleared the frequency for the rare zone 3.
