Aack....What you will do for Club competition. Low noise levels and decent SFI.
I think this might be my first sweep from the home QTH. But, god, some odd
sections for my last ones. ORG, EWA, ID, NT, and NE. Found EWA in the early
afternoon and had ORG and ID call me. I found two VYs on 15 meters which was
fun - VY0JA was CQing without anyone calling. Then Nebraska was last.... What
the hell? Nebraska? I worked 3 NE stations last year over the course of 6
hours....I couldn't find one this year to save my life. Finally, I was tuning
the high band of 20 and heard a massive pile-up. I figured it was either a VY1
or a NE station. After a minute or so, I deduced it was Nebraska indeed.
Fought it out for about 4 or 5 calls and then finally found my way in the log.
Schweet. A sweep!
