Comments:
Much more fun than I expected. I just couldn't hang for 24 hours of operation.
3 AM came and I wanted to sleep, and before you know it noon arrived. Then I
had the overwhelming urge to hang out with family and partake of the great
dinner my cooked us all.
I exceeded my own goal as far as Qs, but I didn't get a clean sweep and, even
more importantly, I couldn't hang with the big guys for the full duration. Had
I played for 24 hours I now realize 700+ was achievable [you were right, Hal].
Of course, my back feels better for having given it a break.
I expected more activity on 15m. Either it's just not a common band for SS or
propagation wasn't real good. I checked 10m a few times.... nothing heard.
80m was definitely the meat and potato band for me. For whatever reason I do
not spend a lot of time on 20/40 anyway.
I decided with about 1.5 hours left to go ahead and CQ on 80m, and I had quite
a number of takers.
Thanks to everyone who provided a contact. Really great to work so many
MRRCers. Can't wait until next year!
