Comments:
My best CW SS claimed score in the 9 years I've done it from this QTH with
comparable equipment.
10.7 K points better than my previous best claim, in 2006, and nearly 12 K
above my 2009 result.
The big difference was better conditions and good runs on 40 m. Sun. AM
1200-1545 Z, and better
conditions on 20 m. 16-22 Z Sun. midday, so that I made 75 more QSOs than last
year. I missed NT
despite searching for a pileup on 15 and 20 m. Sun. afternoon, and also CQing
on 20 m. with
my antenna NW. Did find two KL7s in my few minutes on 15 m., and later two
more on 20 m.
Again this year I did well CQing on 80 m. in the last 3 hrs. of the contest,
making 127 QSOs.
Nearly half of these, 69, were casual ops with fewer than 300 QSOs. In the
last 2 hr. on 80 m.
I got 9 west-coast QSOs, 3 WWA and 6 CA in 4 CA sections, plus of course many
eastern
and midwestern QSOs.
