Thanks to all for honoring K8DD by sending your name as Duck. I never met Hank
in person, but he gave me great advice abt. 15 years ago when I was building my
160m 4 SQ.
80/160m were not great into the east tonight: heard but not wkd NO3M, W4NZ on
160m. 20m was there, but not many of us!
The issue of starting time needs to be re-visited before start of the next
Ladder. Years ago we 'voted' to standardize on UTC. But now, I've gotten lots
of input from the westerly troops that we should stay on local time year round.
Why? Those in the west who have jobs can't get home in time to start at 6 PM
local, especially those who commute into Silicon Valley, as an example. I know
it's better for the east coast folks to start earlier in the winter, but it's
optional for the east to get on if we move an hour later, but restrictive for
the west who have little choice due to job.
Bill N6ZFO, what's your thots on this issue, mebbe you should poll your
committee.
Next week, on Thanksgiving nite, we'll do the same 60 minute drill. Dupes OK
should keep us busy, tho mults may be down.
CU in SS SSB - I'll be on in the early morning hours while N6BV gets his beauty
rest. He has the priority this weekend, as I have my usual third Saturday jazz
gig.
