Comments:

I never heard the VY1s.

We had a rare Bay Area thunder and lightning storm Saturday evening, the first
in years. The rain static was bad, but the lightning was a bigger concern.
After a look at the ugly weather radar image, I decided to lower the 90'
crank-up tower and call it a night.

While I was outside feeding cable, there was a big crack of cloud-to-cloud
lightning that seemed to be directly overhead, with only about 3 seconds
between flash and boom. Then in started hailing. Lowering the tower was the
right decision.

I used Win-Test 4.7.0-dev and the K3 DVR and both worked very well together.

See http://bit.ly/wtscripts

Rig / antennas same as on CW, though I used all new feedlines thanks to K1TO's
A1 Tower Service. See http://www.eham.net/reviews/detail/8500 .

The new microHAM Double Six Switch (similar to Six Pack) seemed to work well
too.

73,
Bob, N6TV
