That was some fun Saturday evening...
I was surprised that I could snag QSOs from the east coast with my 50' high 160
meter dipole (the ends are about 8 to 10 feet off the ground). I'm glad that
most everyone was patient while trying to decifer my call.
The band seemed fairly quiet except for the tuner-uppers and other unstable
tones. And there were lots of people there for me to call.
