Comments:
I have operated this contest from our Colorado vacation home a few times before
with poor results. My G5RV does not load well on 160. This time I built a tuner
to put at the feed point of the antenna and fed it like a top loaded vertical -
much better! Made my first 160 QSOs with Europe from Colorado. Excellent
conditions especially Saturday evening/Sunday morning. Worked 45 states - heard
the other 5 but all were calling others and did not answer my limited CQs.
Best ears have to go to OH1VR/VP9 who heard me when he was only a whisper
here.
