Comments:

That was a fun contest. Conditions were great and there were a lot of stations
to work. Everything seemed to be working well, people seemed to have no
trouble hearing me with 100 watts. I love operating in Low Power categories.
This time it was interesting in the new SOAB LP Assisted category, I could make
a good effort in the contest and at the same time look for countries for my
Marathon effort...:-)

There were some strange items in the contest...I worked DK1WI early Sunday
morning and he was sending serial numbers instead of power - I guess he didn't
real the rules very closely. And does anyone know what was up with GI0RQK late
Sunday? I tried to work him and he wouldn't work me, said it was a dupe. I told
him "not in my log" but it didn't make any difference, he even gave me the time
on Saturday when he thinks we worked; does he think my logging software is
lying to me? I heard him do this to several other people, also. Here's a clue,
Colin, that contact you think we had isn't going to count, and you'll be
penalized to boot, because it's really not in my log. It would have been
quicker and easier to work me. Dupes don't count against you, but that NiL
definitely will.

After CQ WPX RTTY I blamed my broken quad for my poor performance, but I guess
I'll have to find another reason now, the quad played like gangbusters this
weekend. I guess I'm just going to replace it because the broken spreader looks
bad hanging up there, certainly not because it doesn't work.

It was really great to see 15 meters and 10 meters open up this weekend, that
was a nice addition. Propagation seemed better on Saturday than Sunday, here.

Thanks to all the DX stations who worked me, I appreciate the contacts. Looking
forward to the next one.

Rigs: FT1000MP, FT2000
Antennas: 3/4 ele quad (broken), 3 el on 15 and 20, 4 el on 10; 204-foot G5RV
on 40 and 80; Extended Inverted L on 160.
Software: WriteLog 10.81f
