Comments:
Great fun from Azores...it was hard to predict what would be the
potential for all-out 160M effort in the ARRL CW. While having
run more than 1200 U.S. at CR2X in the CQWW 160M (CW) contest I
had expected higher number here but wrong I was. Finally with a
quiet reception I managed to dig out people for their first EU
QSOs!
But it was good weekend next to an old pal OH2MM running CR2A on
15M. Long days on the field made this not only a radio exercise
but also considerable physical effort at our old age.
Single-bands are great in that we OTs can take a nap and go
back to those stories of old days. Those days when we never had
expected EU to bang on the doors of the global arena!
