At the beginning of the week I wasnâ??t sure I was even going to participate in
this one, as I had never operated on 160m. But after a stellar performance by
the Admiral the week before in ARRL CW, which was certainly motivational, I
decided to give it a try. I got a late start due to a blinding snow storm and
had to walk 1/2 mile, as my car couldnâ??t make it up the hill to get to the
WW1WW shack .The station worked flawlessly. Woodyâ??s last minute installation
of a beverage for the northeast, lying on top of 3ft of snow really paid off as
I worked EUâ??s at the top of the band 1.960 one after the other for quite some
time. The WW1WW station is at a very noise free location and was easy to pull
out the weak ones. I am very thankful and appreciative to Woody to have the
chance to operate. Thanks to all the stations I worked, see you all in the next
