Comments:
It was a disturbing weekend. On the other hand, there were some bright spots in
this year's running of the WPX CW, unlike last year, which was an unrelenting
slog. Since the solar flux has been over 100 for a while this spring and was
rising during the weekend, there were some ions in the ionosphere. As a
result, even 15 meters showed some signs of DX life out here in the
unfashionable backwaters of the NA contesting universe. To summarize: early
Saturday morning (GMT) was good, Sunday afternoon/evening (GMT) was good, and
everything in between was not so good.
My vote for the best call in the contest: DR11BUGA.
Congrats to Julius, N2WN for a fine QRP score from the wilds of Eastern TN.
Thanks for the contacts and your patience. See you next time.
