Comments:
My first time in AA - a fun time.
20m sure was in fine shape. And I had pretty good luck with 40m and 80m. But
15m lagged. After the contest a friend observed that propagation tools
indicated the 15m afternoon Asian openings were long path from W7 land, which
would explain my difficulties on that band. Lesson learned!
Iâ??m posting this score as SOAB HP, even though I am LP, because the contest
rules have no LP classification for stations outside Asia.
Like N5AW, I donâ??t own an amplifier, so my barefoot TS850's are are competing
with the kilowatt big guns. If this contest continues to grow, I hope the
organizers will consider a low power class, as already exists for stations in
Asia. (By point of reference, in the 2010 Worked All Europe CW Contest, I see
that 47 percent of the entrants outside of Europe entered in the low power
category.)
