What an exhilarating end to the ladder !
Unfortunately I missed 3 sessions this time, but it could not be helped.
We had three PVRC/NC stations giving out NC this time so hope everyone got the
multiplier.
High point was working N6RO on 80M before dark on the left side, most-cool.
Many 3-fers' this time.
Nice to work some new calls in the SNS--
An honest plug for SNS:
this (effectively) happens a lot. One of the rigs would send at 24wpm and after
a few characters auto-jump to 52wpm. In NS I wudda been lost to fix it, but the
slower pace SNS gave me a chance to find the bad line in n1mm.ini and be qrv
for the NS.
Point being that w/o SNS warmup, I wudda been in trouble. Hey it was sending
faster than NO3M :-)
Bill asked whether we needed a break. My opinion is that summer is a great time
to take a break from the ladder. Two very expensive lightning strikes in the
last few yrs plus I really hate listening thru crashes. OTH, I would make the
NS (ladder or not) when QRN permits.
