Hmmm... I got up to my hiltop radio location about an hour and a half before the
contest to find that all three of my antenna rotors and my 8 way antenna switch
had bee hit by lightning. So I cobbled together a set of non rotatable antennas
and mostly worked the contest using verticals. Plus I kept going outside to
switch antennas and to check the sky, being a little more lightning concious
than I have been. The lightning really smoked my antenna switch controller...
it absolutely blew up about 10 capacitors. I had disconnected all the antenna
connections but I didn't disconnect all my rotor and antenna switch control
lines. I will now.
