Comments:
First of all a big thanks goes out to the Slovenia Contest Club for sponsoring
this contest, and a huge thanks goes to the operators that worked me during my
first SO2R attempt. Thanks for putting up with my learning curve, and my stupid
mistakes, it was really appreciated.
It seemed like the band conditions were close to what I expected with a couple
of exceptions; 10m never opened and 20m was open all night to EU and JA. 15m
and 20m were the go to bands with 40m and 80m having the summer time Florida
noise.
As I said earlier, this was my very first try at SO2R and it was a blast! Iâ??m
not sure I can ever go back to SO1R again. I thought things went very well with
a steep learning curve and with some little issues that I need to work on to
improve the next time around. The real improvements will need to come from my
operating skills. Practice, practice, practice!
A special thanks goes to Mike K4GHM and Don AA5AU for all of there help and
encouragement, Iâ??ll never be the same, but it was the most fun I have ever
had operating a RTTY contest.
