Spent 3 hours listening for CT. No other contests started as early and it was
'only CT' for the first few hours, along with the usual DX contests. Checked
the spots at ch.w6rk.com and only ONE station was spotted the whole day. With
thousands of hams in CT, it's a bit disappointing that more don't get on at
least for an hour or two! One mobile could run the entire state in six hours.
Even in the NE QP, it's hard to get all the counties on the air. Is everyone
assuming that 'someone else' is getting on and giving out the county that they
live in?
Likely, folks are waiting for the NE QSO Party to fire up their KW rigs, big
antennas, computerized cw and voice keying systems and logging...... Heck,
they should blow the dust out more than 3 times a year for the DX contests!
