Major Bummer tonight ;-(
I knew the Locust Peak remote deep cycle batteries were on their last legs, and
was afraid I might have problems tonight.
Sure enough - apologies to K7RF who called me on 40m when I ran out of juice at
0244UTC. I sat and stewed for 2 minutes and then decided to see if it was just
a glitch. The rigs came back on for 2 QSOs at 0246 and then it was lights out
again ;-)
Much $$$ to replace all 8 batteries and it looks like I waited too long. What
a costly hassle now. So it goes in the remote bizz out here. And I was on a
good track to 50 Q's tonight too {SIGH}.
This one will definitely be a throw away ;-(
