Comments:

Thanks to the OK Contest Committee for putting on the Contest. Nice way to end
the calendar year.

Thanks to all for the QSOs.

Bands were in okay condition. Not as good as earlier this fall, but a lot
better than last year! Fortunately the noise level was low making it easy to
hear Europe on 80 meters as well as on 40 meters.

Missed not being able to run SO2R. Sure was tough to look at all the spots on
another band without being able to try and work them on the second radio due to
the five minute band change rule. Still had a lot of activity on all the bands
for this time of year (holiday season).

Did switch from N1MM to WL after approx. an hour into the Contest. Even using
N1MM in SO1R I seemed to be a bit slower than using WL. Certainly the operator
was part of the issue as have only used N1MM in about half dozen contests
(mostly RTTY). However, when N1MM sent an error code and then closed, I knew I
wasn't going to get any better with it in this Contest. So switched back to WL.
Trying to learn N1MM as it does have some nice features and the local M/M
station I participate with uses N1MM.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a healthy and prosperous 2012.

  73,
  Mike, K4GMH
