Training exercise........Yup trying to teach an "ole Dawg" new tricks.
Worked during the week to get radio to do FSK. Last time I played on RTTY
was about 5yrs ago one weekend with AFSK. So hardware was working with MMTTY on
Thurs before weekend and Fri I got N1MM up and running. Jim, KC4HW was a great
help in setting up MMTTY to say the least. So first 5hrs(Sat) was S&P with LP
which I figured out wasn't a lot of fun on this mode for me.The rest of the
time was in RUN mode and HP which was more entertaing let's say. This event
allowed me to get used to the software and how folks operate on this mode. I
felt pretty comfortable at the end of the test so I think I will put in a full
effort in CQ WPX RTTY coming up in Feb. TNX for putting up with a novice op and
hope to see all in WPX. Tim, Ky5R ACG...." in the Heart of Dixie"
