A disappointing contest this year. Friday night/Saturday morning started out
great with good runs of EU and JA. The predicted coronal hole high speed stream
hit us very hard at the worst possible time. At 0000 on the 18th the big gun EU
stations were well over S9 at 2300 the same stations were S2-S3 here in the
auroral zone. Decided to quit and head home as I could use the time more
effectively doing some work.
Hopefully SSB will be better. As always Don was a great host. Equipment was an
ICOM 756PRO, Henry amp, 2 x 5 element yagis and a 3 element yagi.
