One of my WORST efforts ever!
Came down with a cold late this week... I would say PERFECT TIMING and likely
the same one the kids had. It was so bad it put one of them in the hospital
last weekend (she's doing OK now) and it made me curl up in my bed under the
covers. Did I mention I lost my voice? I had to try a good few times before I
made a good DVK recording to use. Had a lot of "again?" on Friday night because
I was so hoarse, even on the DVK!
Anyway the band condx weren't so hot, maybe down to 2008-2009 levels? Probably
not quite, 15 and 10 were open but not as hot as last year. 1 or 2 europe on
10, but most was trans eq with plenty of PYs and LUs.
I noticed a lot of stations from Cuba coming on this year. Increased activity
from any nation is always a welcome thing! Hope the trend continues from more
countries with less activity.
Not a peep from JA or the far East in general except maybe Asiatic Russia. I
guess I really wasn't on at the right time or maybe propagation wasn't
playing.
Lots of Caribbean and Central/South America.
Sunday I got my voice back so I was able to run a bit and round up to my 313
Q's.
Hope I can put a full (and not sick!) effort for WPX.
