AOL crashed just after hitting SEND last time.
I had a hard time getting enthused for this one.
Friday morning at 9:10 a.m. the power went out.
AM Radio reported: "Tornado on Ground, East of Athens, heading NE"
N4KG is 10 miles East of Athens. Evacuated to neighbor's basement.
East Limestone County Tornado later rated as EF3. 75 houses destroyed.
Roof taken off 2 dormatories at East Limestone Correctional Facility (5 miles
NNW of N4KG) and hundreds of houses damaged. Over 50 houses destroyed in
Madison County (North of Huntsville).
Athens Utilities reported 26 utility poles down and 2 substations knocked out.
Amazingly, with the help of neighboring community utility workers,
Power was Restored to East Limestone County by 3:30 p.m. (2.5 hrs B4 contest).

N4KG started the contest on 10M wkg Carib/SA for 25 mins.
Same for 15M for 35 mins. Then 1 hour on 20M and 2 hrs on 40M.
ALL S&P and/or Packet Spots with focus on Multipliers and multi-band contacts.
Watched Local News for Tornado Coverage and fell asleep in chair.
Awoke at 0700Z. Hit 40/80/160 for 1 hour before shutting down.
Usual morning sweep from 80 to 40 to 20 to 15. 10M opening was Late and weak.
Sunday morning, 20 and 15 sounded Flat. Solar Flare around 10Z. BIG Guns were
S5. 10M opened to CT EA F and Italy around 1700Z. I took LOTS of breaks,
operating just under 24 hours, about 10 hours less than my normal. WX was
Beautiful all weekend.
Icom 746 to pair of 3-500's at 800 to 1000W depending on band.

40 Sloping 80M Dipole from 120' to NE plus Delta Loop for Pacific.
