Comments:
I can only say WOW!! I started out S&P and then had a short 22 Q run on 15m on
Saturday night. On Sunday night at 22:50 I found a 20m frequency and decided
to RUN for the remainder of the contest-142 Q's in an hour and 10 minutes. This
is a feat for me especially with the splatter and is a small step toward my
future contesting. This is a personal record for number of Q's and score.
That means next year I have to set and make a new record. Other than setting
off my home alarm system while transmitting on 15m over the Pole this was a
blast. Worked my first Mongolian Q and my second but (first Chinese Q from the
US) in this contest. Rig: FT-1000D, Amp: AL-1200 (1250 PEP), Ant: Cushcraft X-9
at 48 feet formerly at 40 feet. Linear loaded ROMEX diploe antenna with apex at
75 feet and ends at 40 feet.
