So, what's wrong with this picture?

I'm sitting in the 15M Novice band (because it's wall to wall further down the
band), running Europeans from the Pacific Northwest (when the propagation
models say there shouldn't be anything significant happening at all), and I'm
feeling that this just isn't real and I really should be on 20M instead. After
all, if 15m was this good, 20M should be even better! Right? I probably spent
too much time trying to force that to happen. <sigh> Sometimes..., you just
have to go with the flow.

I've developed a love/hate relationship with the WV7Q call. It's the second
time
I have borrowed it. It's fairly unique - you won't find many WV7's in the WPX.
That's the good part. However, it sucks as a CW call (many weird combinations
come back) and it's still not in the CheckPartial database which makes a lot of
people nervous when it pops up as a unique. Frankly, during S&P, if it's a low
percentage contact (weak/noisy) and they don't get it the first time, it was
best to move on and come back later (really slow). Maybe I need to look for
something else - the frustration factor is high. For sure, there are gonna be a
lot of busted Q's out there based on the number of dupes who worked me again.

Second radio Q's were 116 (I actually thought it might be more). It was the
second radio that convinced me I should be on 15M early on as I was trying to
run on 20M and making more Q's S&Ping on 15M.

Good job by K2PO (running AD7JP in Oregon) also running SO AB/LP. Soundly
trounced me. (There may be others - it's still early. Don't know what category
Dan W7WA was running yet). Was looking forward to seeing what N7ZG could do but
I know this weekend sometimes conflicts with family.

Next stop - Field Day. Think 15M will come through like that again? Ha! <grin>

cheers
dink
