Pretty crummy conditions in Georgia this year. Absolutely no propagation to
have any runs to the high population areas. This is the first time in the June
VHF contest, since I have lived in GA, I can remember having no real openings
to the northeast (W1-W3) or W8/W9. The guys in the upper midwest (WI,MN,ND,SD
and W7) all had big pileups on them and were working all over the US whenever I
heard them. Bet there are some big 6 meter numbers from up there. The only real
highlight of the weekend was a nice Caribbean opening on Saturday
afternoon/evening. Worked about 9 countries down that way. Hopefully it will be
better for the CQ VHF contest next month.
73, Jeff
