Comments:
This was my first ever VHF contest. I have been on 6 Meters for 41 days. Except
for one month in 1964. I got a new Johnson Viking Ranger II in 1964 that
covered 160 to 6. (CW/AM) I slightly modified my Drake 2B to get on 160 and
have been on 160 ever since. I borrowed a converter for 6 in the summer of
1964. Worked up and down the coast ending up with a total of 4 countries
worked! I had to return the converter, so that was it for 6 meters. Now with
my new K3 I am trying 6 again. Very different results this time. I have 24
states and 11 countries so far. I got a new Yagi up about 26 feet just in time
for the contest. I was hearing Europe Friday morning with the Yagi sitting at 6
feet above ground as I was preparing to put it up for the contest. It was a big
thrill to actually work Europe during the contest! This morning I have visions
of a 6 meter DXCC dancing in my head! Needless to say I had fun in the
contest.

Don
