Comments:
Started as a casual op to work a few new grids, but hey, a contest is
irresistable, and when the band opened, well....
Openings are always relatively scarce on this side of the Rockies (whine,
whine) but there were a few good openings for us in the Canadian PSW. I even
managed to get a few good runs going, both on CW and SSB. I'm always amazed at
how spotty Es can be - VA7FC worked stns I didn't even know were there.
A high point was working PA2M, DH6JL, ON7GB on Sunday morning - exactly 11
years (and -14 minutes) after the first known VE7 <> Europe Es QSOs!
(And eternal gratitude to N6TR for the alert in the 2001 ARRL June VHF 'test.)
July 7 has been a good date in the past - let's see what this year brings.
CW: 87 Qs in 33 grids
SB: 260 Qs in 89 grids.
Elecraft K-Line, 6el @ 55'
Oh, yeah, 4 new grids worked (now at 658 :-)
