got out the old HW16 and a hand full of rocks, used mainly 7050, and had a 300
ohm OCF 137 foot antenna. compared to using my normal station rx, an RAL-7, the
HW16 rx is quite a let down. but one uses what one has...as always a good time
was had on 40m sunday morning, when i connected the heathkit VFO for a while.
FD is a good way to check out that you portable equipment is still
working.............
