A part-time shakedown cruise from my new QTH near Steelville, MO - very, very
pleased with the results from simple antennas (HF2V and Bravo-7) and low power
(IC-7000). Took time off for floating around in a nearby river through the
heat of the afternoon and then quit when I got sleepy, hi. Even with the poor
conditions, some bands were pretty good some of the time and it was
particularly fun to work out into the Pacific and Oceania on 40 meters in the
morning - I guess I'd have to say 40 was the most fun this time out. 73, Ward
