Comments:
I was only on for the last 6 hours of the contest. I operated portable from a
hilltop. Murphy struck me heavily this year but I got all the equipment
working. Band conditions were poor. 1296 seemed to be the worst of the bands. I
tried and failed to make many more QSO's on 1296.
I did work some good DX - W0UC, N4QWZ and K8TQK on the lower bands. There was
no one in my area to work on 5760 this year. ~300 miles seemed to be about the
edge of my range. Although there is not a QRP category in this contest, I ran
10 watts or less on all bands out of necessity.
