The first 3 1/2 hours or so of this contest are a Sprint, with participants who
understand how to operate the Sprint. The last 30 minutes becomes an exercise
in trying to waylay innocent bystanders and convince them to give you a
contact. Many of these operators have no idea what the Sprint is, and some get
into the swing of things, but a few sit on one frequency and call CQ Sprint and
never QSY. The cure, of course, is to convince more people to become
participants so there will be four hours of real Sprint activity.
